Für diese 5 MINUTES Episode haben wir den dänischen Street Art Künstler HUSKMITNAVN in seinem Atelier in Kopenhagen besucht. Desweiteren haben wir uns seine Solo Ausstellung im dänischen Museum für Kunst im öffentlichen Raum angeschaut. Eine riesige Sammlung von Collagen, Fotos, Figuren, Sketchen und Leinwandarbeiten aus den vergangenen 10 Jahren HUSKMITNAVN. Seine Wurzeln in der Graffiti Szene sind dabei nie zu übersehen.
“HuskMitNavn – RememberMyName (1975) – works with street art, paintings, drawings and graphics. HuskMitNavn has marked his name both in Denmark and internationally by his controversial, humorous and political street art. His characteristic figures and comments are spread all over Europe and covers a wide area from graffiti in public space, illustrations for international magazines and newspapers into established settings as galleries and building adornnments. By humorous reflections upon everyday life and politics, the art from HuskMitNavn involves society discourses. We have visited the artist in Copenhagen, the studio and his current solo exhibition at KOS, the National Museum Of Art In Public Spaces. We also managed to look over his shoulder while he paints a Skatepark and a wall somewhere around Copenhagen.”
