The graffiti world is saddened by the loss of Sigi von Koeding aka Dare – The Wild Side.

Experienced a few weeks ago we had that one of the best and most cherished of our scene is ill with cancer. Unfortunately Sigi von Koeding aka DARE has lost the fight and died that night in Basel. We are stunned and shocked by the rapid development and the loss of one of the most important Graffiti Writer of Europe and our Crewmember. Our sympathy goes to the family and close friends of Sigi.

He was a refreshing and positive person who left the ego behind.. the week spent with him and the number of other occasions i bumped into him through my trip was a pleasure.. i can say that many people are hurting more than me right now but i still feel priviliged to meet you sigi, and im so saddened to hear of your recent passing.. rest in peace bro..” (Take2/Australia)

This is such sad news and a big loss to the graffiti world. He was a huge influence on so many writers and i am sure his pieces will be remembered for many, many years to come.
