LADIE KILLERZ EXHIBITION @ COLD KRUSH- Friday 23rd April
Curated by the infamous Ladie Poise and presented by Cold Krush (109 Unley Rd, Unley) the exhibition is a collection of visual art, illustration, design and multimedia installations.Over 20 established and emerging artists from across the nation will take part in what is anticipated to be Australia’s largest assembly of female: graffiti, street art, lowbrow and tattoo artists. Another highlight of the opening will be live painting in the outdoor gallery area.
OFFICIAL EXHIBITION AFTER PARTY @ ZHIVAGO’S NIGHTCLUB
Adelaide’s much loved club will play host to the official after party. Featuring an all female DJ line up including Ishk, it will be femme funk and hip hop party jams til the break of dawn – located 155 Weymouth Street, Adelaide.
GRAFFITI MURAL PRODUCTION @ STURT CREEK – Saturday 24th/25th April
Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide artists unite to create a major production over 2 days with beats, beers n bbq. Documentation provided by Graffcentral (www.graffcentral.com) with support from Clouded Thoughts magazine.
MERCURY CINEMA PRESENTS LADIE KILLERZ FILM FEST- Saturday 24th April
Curated by Joske (Melbourne based documentary filmmaker) and presented by The Mercury Cinema (13 Morphett St, Adelaide) from 6pm this female special screens a selection of films from around the globe in an effort to highlight womens involvement in the hip hop culture and will include some of Joske’s own work documenting women in the Australian hip hop scene. The Mercury foyer will host visuals and performances. After the screening come n get down with laser tagging projected on buildings – provided by Carclew Youth Arts and Adelaide city Council
