Der FromHereToFame Verlag Berlin widmet der traditionsreichen Meeting Of Styles Festivalserie (seit 1997) ein ON THE RUN Book. In der Ausgabe #17 der Buchreihe werden auf 224 Seiten mehr als 450 Fotos und Illustrationen aus New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico DF, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Madrid, Liverpool, Kopenhagen, Stockholm, Antwerpen und Minsk gezeigt (1997-2005). Das Buch trägt den Titel ‘MEETING OF STYLES – Volume 1′ und wurde vom Initiator Manuel Gerullis selbst zusammengestellt. Ein zweiter Teil soll im Herbst 2013 folgen
Meeting of Styles is an annual series of worldwide graffiti and Hip Hop festivals. United by their passion for art, an international network of graffiti artists and enthusiasts stage these gatherings in cities around the world, making Meeting of Styles the biggest event in global graffiti culture. More than 130 Meetings of Styles have been launched and attracted over 150,000 spectators across cities such as New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico DF, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Madrid, Liverpool, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Antwerp, Minsk and many more. Beside of the MOS- and WSM-History it will feature tons of walls and all the major walls and productions from the early years from 1997-2005. A second part is scheduled to be published in fall 2013 and will follow up from the years 2006-2012.
The resulting graffiti art is staggeringly amazing, both in quality and quantity. ‘Meeting of Styles—Volume 1’ is the first part of a two-book collection documenting this international graffiti explosion. Dangerously jam-packed with pieces and productions by hundreds of the best graffiti artists, this book is very close to needing a hazardous contents warning label.
