Vom 30. August bis zum 1. September 2013 fand die achte Auflage der IBUG statt. Austragungsort war in diesem Jahr das ehemalige Eisenwerk im westsächsischen Zwickau, das im Volksmund auch “Fackel” genannt wird.
Hier gab es an drei Festivaltagen ein Programm mit Filmen und Musik, Tanztheater und Performances, Vorträgen, Diskussionen und natürlich jeder Menge Kunst. Zuvor hatten Kreative aus ganz Europa, Weissrussland, Mexiko, Argentinien, China und den USA das brachliegende Areal während einer einwöchigen Kreativphase mittels Graffiti und großflächigen Wandmalereien, detailverliebten Illustrationen, Videoprojektionen und Installationen aus umherliegendem Material in ein beeindruckendes Gesamtkunstwerk verwandelt.
Mit dabei waren u.a. Chromeo, Koala, Benuz, Friendly, Lean Frizzera, Clara Reichertz, Diego Cirulli, Milu Correch, benjAMIN, Valenciennes, PINCHE, Key Detail, Fresh Max, LOOMIT, Atem, Quintessenz Creation, gogoplata, Tasso, Hifi, Threehouse, Beastiestylez, El Bocho u.v.m.

REMAINS OF OUR PAST one | LE BIJOUTIER
Remains Of Our Past is a serie of Tribute to the Old School Ghettoblasters by international artist Le Bijoutier.
Back in the early days of the Hip Hop culture, they already had an influence on the people, by offering them music mobility, and a full blast of sound.
This “Archeological” Cardboard Ghettoblaster is meant to be a remain from the past. I wanted to feel that the metal workers from the foundry had left it here in this huge abandonned factory, in Zwickau, Germany, when they fled West during the 1989 Revolution.
Ghettoblaster is meant to play music and broadcast the news to the People……Power to the People….
This artwork is dedicated to the Universal Zulu Nation, Afrika Bambaataa and all the Zulu celebrating 40 years of the Universal Zulu Nation.
