JIESK aus Sydney (Australian) ist Graffitiwriter und seit mehr als 5 Jahren auch Fotograf. Sein Talent, Momente so einzufangen, wie sie ein Sprüher in der Realität erlebt, ist nicht zu übersehen. Im riesigen Dschungel von jungen Fotografen und inflationären Uploads auf Tumblr, Flickr, Facebook und Co fallen seine Fotos auf. Besonders die Aufnahmen aus der TRESPASSING Serie, die JIESK letztes Jahr erstmals in einer Ausstellung gezeigt hat und weitergeführt werden soll. Die Motive aus dieser Fotoserie zeigen Momentaufnahmen aus den Tunneln und Layups Australien (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane..). Wir haben mal einige Highlights aus TRESPASSING herausgesucht plus ein kurzes Video des Fotografen bei der Arbeit.

The TRESPASSING Series is a collection of photographs from in the Sydney underground and rail system. The photos capture scenes and locations never before revealed to the general public, allowing access to parts of the city that are normally otherwise never seen. The locations of these photos, to almost the entire population, would be unrecognisable, even though they may pass through them most days of their lives.
A first of its kind, the collection captures the atmosphere and the mood of the underground system, highlighting the impressive infrastructure which exists in this subterranean world. The photographer, with over 25 years experience as a graffiti artist, and over 10 years as a photographer, has used his intimate knowledge of the train system to be able to capture what he has known almost his entire life. The idea behind the TRESPASSING Series is to let people see some of what a graffiti artist see’s, and has now made it available, sharing it in a way that appeals to the general public.
The photos in the TRESPASSING Series document this subterranean world and it’s infrastructure – something that has never been documented before with such quality – as well as pushing all the photographic elements presented on a truly dynamic medium, to ensure a visually spectacular experience.
