“Saving Banksy” – Ein Film von Colin Day & Mike Tarrolly

Banksy is the world’s most infamous “street artist”, that´s a fact. his work is mostly illegal, as fast as his paintings go up, they are destroyed or in some cases removed by art dealers. Banksy’s public paintings sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars, but believe it or not, the artist receives nothing. The documentary movie “Saving Banksy” is the story of one misguided art collector’s attempt to preserve a Banksy from destruction and the auction block. This is the story of a multi-million dollar international art heist. Paintings done for the public, removed by art dealers without the artist’s consent and sold in high end galleries and auctions.

The artist receives nothing from the sale of these paintings. Unlike most art heists, this one is perfectly legal. “Saving Banksy” features some top street and graffiti artists such as Ben Eine, Risk, Revok, Niels Mueman, Blek Le Rat, Anthony Lister, Doze Green and Glen E Friedman.

This is the official trailer, the film premiers at the Nashville Film Festival April 22nd, 2016. We really looking foward seeing this documentary in the eyes of the public.
