New UP #39
Underground Productions from Stockholm are about to release issue #39 of the classic Scandinavian magazine UP. The new layout and design introduced in issue #38 have proven succesfull and will be continued in the new issue. Featured in the content this time round is Bates, Ridler, Chicagos train scene and the Balkan area. A special article about the Hell Iz For Children wholecar from Iz the Wiz is also featured, can’t wait to see this one!

Fingers crossed for Fascinate
There is new movement emerging in Scandinavia to have old graffiti murals restored and protected as a part of the countries cultural heritage. Some murals are more than 20 years old and often face demolition when new areas in the city have to be redeveloped. Tomorrow the city of Stockholm will decide if the Fascinate wall should live on or die… Fingers crossed that it will preserved for future generations. More info in Swedish here. Another boundary pushed by Banksy
In this article from Sydney, Australia, you can read that “a local
council-commissioned report titled “Graffiti/Street Art As A Cultural Asset” says that the council should “recognise the cultural significance of street art activity by a ‘benign neglect’ of major illegal graffiti/street art sites, leaving them alone as far as possible”. This report comes after the council got in trouble for removing a work by Banksy.
