The end of a year always bring top lists out, and they are never easy to do or agree with. Here is one on graffiti and streetart books for 2008 from Format Magazine, done by Prestel Publishing.

New local exhibition at Vejle Kunstmuseum in Jutland, Denmark titled Street Art Inspiration opening January 24th 2009, featuring a lineup of the famous danish artists, including Armsrock, Clean, Frodo Mikkelsen, HuskMitNavn, Oeps and Papfar. More information in danish here.


Ovie speaks

Listen up everybody! Ovie KD is right now serving 2-4 years in jail in New York for painting clean trains as reported earlier here at ILG. Ovie got caught when the Vandalsquad executed a search warrant on his email that they had obtained from a judge and accessed emails containing digital photos of his clean train work. To anyone in graffiti, listen and learn from Ovie right here in this video!

Its hard to write an introduction to this guy. Sento has been painting and innovating since the NYC subway era. Known for doing pieces in spots where others would do a quick throwup. Very active through the years, painting everything from trains, to walls, to freights and travelling the entire world, there is nothing he haven’t done and nothing he can’t do.
