New legal wall in Malmø, Sweden

The writers of Malmø, Sweden got a new legal wall this weekend when the city of Malmø decided to give them a 90 meter long fence at Parkgatan to paint on legally. City officials noted that their experience from the P-Huset Anna legal area in Central Malmø was that legal walls were very popular and that illegal graffiti didn’t spread from them! Go Malmø, now you have twice as many official legal areas for graffiti compared to big brother Copenhagen.

Bristol loves graffiti

Crazy news article from the city of Bristol in England, the hometown of Banksy. Is graffiti art, the public will decide:
Bristol City Council will put to the public vote whether murals which appear on buildings, walls and fences are street art or graffiti.
As part of a formal street art policy, the council’s street clean team will not take action if people decide the graffiti is nice and want to keep it.
