Infamy extras

Posted: 8. October 2008  Posted By: twik

Infamy is one of the best graffiti documentaries in the last few years. With an allstar lineup of featured artist including Saber, Jase, Claw, Toomer, Earsnot, Enem and even vigilante buffer Joe Connolly, its a must-watch for anybody interested in graffiti.
But it makes no sense that all this great, extra footage and interesting interviews ever taken out of the movie? This 30 minute clip is almost better than the movie itself…

Danish graffiti history

Posted:   Posted By: twik

This is probaly the best thing I ever blogged. Since the previous story here at ILG about the first train in Copenhagen, it was a great joy to find the following clip online.
A few years ago, Danish national television DR had a theme program about the birth and history of hiphop in Denmark. Not only did they broadcast some of the classic international hiphop documentaries, they had also dug up old archive footage and found alot of the original people from hiphops first generation here.
In Copenhagen graffiti, there where to main writers in the beginning, Kyle aka Peyk who painted the first train ever and Freez aka Lund that went on to do the first wholecar ever. Here is their true story about that time, told by themselves and garnished with their own, lovely, old, unseen photos from the mid 80s. This is true graffiti history in one amazing 7 minute clip…

All 8 clips can be seen here, featuring rapping, breaking, DJ’ing and graffiti.
